Temple and Working

Well I had an amazing week! Enjoy the pictures and then I'll talk about it. . . .

My mom and I - she surprised me with a trip to the Temple! :)

This beautiful puppy just begged for a picture! ;)

LYDIA!!!!! :)

Monday was spent with me looking for and applying for jobs. Such a fun thing to do . . . . ;P also pretty hard as I don't have much form of transportation so I can't work far away (far being over 5 miles lol).

So Tuesday was when Mom surprised me with the opportunity to go to the Temple - as if I was going to pass that up!!! xD We had an amazing time and I saw a dear friend who used to be the Institute teacher, until the stake was split.
On Wednesday I heard back from somewhere I had applied, wanting an interview. I took my siblings to Mutual.
Thursday I went to the job interview - it went well and I will find out this next Tuesday. Institute was awesome as always. :)
Friday was getting ready for an amazing job - BOVAY!!!!! Bovay is a scout camp in Texas, and I went there for girls camp a couple times. Natalie started working there last year and I was excited to be able to work there myself. :) We didn't have as much of an adventure as we did last Saturday (when we ran out of gas lol) but we did get to help set things up and get the camp ready. Lydia and I are the only females on the staff so that is interesting. . . . Also the walls in the cabins are super thin and boy did they have the music blasting loud.
Saturday dawned bright and clear. All of the sunset pictures (I think there is a sunrise in there somwhere) are from camp. I regretted instantly the fact that I forgot to bring my camera, but I still got some beautiful shots. During the day we follow a pack of scouts around so we could get to know the other staff members and also the programs that happen during the day. It was really fun - which is the best job description ever! And our manager insists that if we are not having fun on the job, we aren't doing it right. I completely agree. ;) I kept skipping out of the game we were playing because of the sunset. . . After the closing staff meeting, Ray was helping with the astronomy and here comes one of those fun moments - I wanted to look through a telescope and ended up smashing my glasses into my face!! LOL, the group we were with (thankfully the scouts had left already!) started rolling on the ground laughing. . . . xD Well, at least someone found it funny, right?

Today was pretty good. I spent church helping with the eleven Sunbeams (Rachel included. . . good or bad? Great question.) who were incredibly adorable and I am very happy to say that they loved me by the end of class. ;)

I hope everyone has had a wonderful week! Hope this next one is just as good!

Adventure! We found it. . .

Well I didn't take as many pictures as usual, but I have a story near the end of the week to make up for it! xD Don't skip to the end!

Abi and I - She was sick most of the week so I took her for a drive before the fireside I had last Sunday

Lisa sleeping

Rachel sleeping

(I swear my mom took the last two - I stole them from her fb!)

This is the adorable Lisa ;)

Rachel and I

And here is Lisa again - with one of her usual faces. She's shy, but adorable.

I can't remember when, but sometime this week I finally finished organizing my resume and figuring out how to put my mission on there. . . xD

Monday was spent preparing my third FHE lesson - The Gospel of Jesus Christ game.

I got sweet little Valentines from my darling little sisters on Tuesday.

Thursday was Institute - amazing as always! :) We talked about how Jesus went about doing good (immediately my thoughts went to The Living Christ. . . ) and preformed miracles and what miracles we see today.

Speaking of miracles - this definitely was! On Saturday I started out driving Ray, Lydia, and I to Bovay (an amazing Scout camp where I had girls camp a couple times) for training so we could start working there (YAY!). On the way I realized that I hadn't checked the gas and as a consequence of that we ran out half way there. None of us have actual cell phones (we all use texting apps that require wifi) so I tried waving a couple cars down then walked down the driveway opposite us when that didn't work. Of course, this being Texas, and what with us being way out in the country, they had gas and were completely willing to give us some! Thankfully, I always leave with plenty of time in case of set backs such as this so we were still on time for the training even with my stopping at the first gas station I saw to get gas. The rest of the day proved mostly uneventful, thankfully, but we also had the adult session of stake conference for us to get home too and Ray was in the choir - supposed to be there at 5. Unfortunately, he forgot his suit when leaving that morning, so after leaving Bovay at 4 we made it home in time for Ray, mom, and I to change for the session. Ray ended up not being able to practice, but the choir did well (comprised of missionaries and youth in the stake who had served mini missions last year). The day ended with us going to the store to prepare for 8 children under 14 sitting for two hours on Sunday.

Stake conference was wonderful! :)

I hope everyone had a wonderful week and that the week ahead will prove to be amazing! xD

Friends

Hello! I realized one of the reasons I love to take pictures. . . I can explain what the picture was about and then I don't have to talk very much. lol xD

The beautiful Texas sunsets I was dearly missing. :) I mean look at those amazing colors!

Lisa and Rachel - super adorable cuddles while mom is gone

I made fingerless gloves out of sock

During Family Devotional we have the little Lisa saying "SHHHH!" - loudly!

This is our chicken coop.

Hannah is our self designated egg finder. :)

This is the rooster. Very annoying in the morning. . .

This regal cat is named Hiccop

And some pictures of the Snow Moon (Februarys full moon)

Well I had a pretty good week (although my poor sister Abi did have a fever most of the week). . . On Thursday was institute - we talked about what it means to Follow Christ.

I was finally able to drive somewhere on Friday - is anyone surprised by the fact that I went to the library first thing? ;) sadly it was only to print some papers out. And I also went to a dance that night. It was interesting . . . I mean, the dance ended a half hour before it was supposed to - by the end no one was dancing and my friends and I had gone to a room off the hall. The music was too loud and there were not many options in songs, but I was able to see some old friends and it was good.

Saturday I spent the day with one of my good friends. We've been trying to catch up since I got home and her schedule worked this time. We had lunch and talked and I saw her family - good to see them as it has been a while. We went and we saw "A Dog's Purpose", which is a super cute/sad movie about the reasons we have dogs - or they have us? ;) Anyway, I was glad to be able to spend time with Krystle and meet her cute little puppy Ellie (is that how you spell it? There are too many ways to spell things, really).

And I have a calling! Will it surprise anyone to find that I have been called to the Primary? I don't have a specific class to teach, but I spent Church in Primary and it was so fun. I love children. :) I'm also a YSA Rep - for my tiny little branch (are there other YSA's in my branch? Who knows!). There is a YSA fireside tonight with our Stake Patriarch that I am excited to go to - we were told that his topic is anything he wants to talk about. :)

Well, I will write again next week! Hope everyone has a wonderful week! :)
